ecu fault code 47

today i checked my fault code on the ecu it flashed 12 up 3 times first. then 47 flashed up 3 times so i assum this is code 47.according to haynes this is the air pump relay or circuit (low voltage).any 1 got any idea what this is as vauxhall dont know either!!!or is code 47 something else ??

its a 92 gsi non cat with full mongoose exhaust and k and n induction kit othewise its standard

sounds like the exhaust gas recirculation valve (EGR) could be at fault...
