im going to be temporarily using volkswagen steels on my nova. The centre bore sizes are significantly different. What are the problems associated with this? and what can i do to fix it, ive heard about spiggot rings? is that what i need? thanks

how temp is it. if its rolling around a yard, then dont worry.

other wise spigot rings is whatyou need.

measure your outside dia on the hub.
and measure the inside size of the hole. im sure they will be readily available on ebay.

well the car is going to be driven on the road for a while so id better get some spigot rings then. just out of curiosity, why is it not a good idea to use wheels with the different bore sizes?

Because the studs shouldn't be taking the full force, Want a amount of force on the center bore to hold the wheel.

Well thats what I believe anyway?

I know it's a bit stupid etc etc, but Tinas Golf has run round like that for 2 years+ now with no problems..it's not ideal I know but it seemed ok...

^ same with me. I ran Renault 19 16v alloys for a while.

14 inch steels from a 2000 polo if that helps. there is at least a 2/3mm difference

a lad at work had some hideous multifit things on a corsa, and they had little rubber spigot rings..

Thats not alot IMO. When i was running the Renault alloys, the CB dia is 60mm. Vaux CB dia is 56mm.

I had mine years ago. Never knew about such things. Also never knew how cheap they were/are!
