ford rsturbo seats in a nova

has anybody put these seats on nova subframes? a set have come availible to me and might get them as there mega comfy and my sr seats are cocked lol. :thumb:

i fitted some half leather recaros into my nova from a rover vitesse! Lol! Easy if you have access to a welder!

Big Chaps white GSI has ford recaros in leather too, iirc its a weld job, novas subs welded on said ford frame.

I'm not a Ford man so no idea what model my seats came from. Bought them from CG, and he did tell me, but I forgot lol

They do sit a bit high, but they're SO damned comfy. Was relatively easy getting them to fit SR subframes. Little bit of grinding, and I can't remember if we did any welderizing, but aside from that no great problemo.

You sit slightly higher and watch the width, they can touch the door handles. I didn't do the mods, bought them like that.

as i recall i used to run mk1 suzukiswift gti seats in the orange car front and rear as the trim was similar to the gte standard doorcards which seemed to work well at the time

I've fitted some in a corsa b un the drivers side sat to hi. should be eaiser on nova frames. I've fabed some bmw mtech seats outta a e46 onto nova runners so owts do able because I'm not a fabricator lol

the frame you mounted upto on the recaros,you pull the fabric off and remove the stepper piece,that drops them about an inch and half down;)
mine i retrofitted into my combo rs2000 ones though i upgraded to vec gsi recaros:p

Ive got Fiesta Rs turbo seats in my SR. They're near enough black so go well with a GSI dash. I bolted them onto a standard set of sliding nova runners, no welding required. They are wide though and you dont sit as low in them, so if your tall your head might hit the roof! But Im sure they can be made to go lower if you didnt use a nova subframe and made something up from scratch. I have a cheap set going spare if anyone wants a set to experiment with?

I had the black ones from a BMW, same seats.

Found you sat very high (i mounted them stright down on to cut down nova seat frames) and my head still touched the headlining.

And found on a long drive they gave me back pain. (might have just been me tho)
