ATEs
astra 16v/cav gsi/cav sri/asta gsi 256 mm discs calipers and pads.

Or get 4x4 cavvy calipers which are same as above but have an ever so slightly bigger piston...

Peanuts from a scrappy for calipers ( i pay ?5 each) pads ?24 from vaux and discs ?11 from partco.
Recon the calipers with a re seal kit (?7 each from vaux/partco) and they will last for ages.

Or if you have certain types of 15" wheel, you can fit 285mm discs with the above calipers and spacer brackets-or turbo/v6 calipers.
Slightly more xpensive, but the stopping power is :o

If you have a late spec SRi like mine was, you will have mini versions of the astra 16v ones- which are good and much better than normal nova ones which seize, but the increase in size makes so much difference.
You will be impressed.

Dont bother with rear discs. it overbrakes the back end and can lead to the back end locking up under heavy braking.

Not really needed on such a small and light car to be honest

What modifications, if any, would be needed to be carried out on these brakes?

How much of the braking system would you need/reccomend, calipers and discs, or more?

Also, what work would need to be done to get them to fit the front hubs?
