Some of you may recognise this from when HC Coupe had it,and i got it off colin smith to save it from its fate lol , so Ive had this september/november time and thought it was about time i got a wip up.I havnt really done much due to the weather but i got cracking last weekend hoping to have her on the road for march/april time

Still do is Re cut the inside of the front doors and where the rear seats use to be as there a reet mess,fit the front brakes,GAZ coilovers,bucket seats,harnesses,paint the floor then she should be ready for a MOT fingers crossed

Hope this one gets on the road sooner than the 57door lol
aint they just and lol i shall be sourcing some parts for that in the next few weeks so keep your eyes peeled for an update on the moor door :thumb:

Welcome to the C16xe world Rob ;) Sounds a decent setup mate just get a mantzel style airbox fitted and jobs a good un.
Edit: just noticed you've dblias bodies on, woooo ain't we posh lol
Boo on the mk2 dash though, bad upside-down head lol
lol i,m on the posh side ,and mk2 dashs do look a lot better :p

only a small update as i havnt much time today,but ive sorted a few wires and put everything back in the bay and put the covers back on the engine,only trial fitted the ecotec one as its coming off to be painted .Fingers crossed she should be running this week :d

I'd have the airfilter the other way around down towards the front of the car, don't think you'll have enough air getting to the afm which causes naff running ;)
thats how it was when kp automotive built it,i did try the other way but i need a different pipe

Errrrr, ive drunk a lot this weekend, refresh my memory please?
You must have been on the gear again as i told you when you were sober Monday,Rob is coming to get blasted at mine,do you want to come aswell?
Right update time:d
No pics as we havent visually done anything apart from put more fuel in it and try firing it up to no avail, swapped the fuel lines round as we werent sure if they were correct, and when we undid the one which was abviously the flow, it was pressured up and sprayed fuel everywhere for a few seconds.
Nipped them back up and went through the rigmorall of connecting the jump pack to the battery (in the boot) turning the master electric switch on (just behind where the seats will be) turning on the fuel pump, and turned it over, and over,and over, and still nothing.
Before Rob gave up i moved him out of the way and tried the key again, when the engine coughed, spluttered for a second and then died with a hiss and a pop, kind of like how you get when a carb misfires out of the top.
This was more than we had happen all afternoon, i tried the key again and it fired into life, went straight to full throttle and sat there bouncing off the limiter:eek:
Turned of the ignition and pulled the keys out, and it was still sat on the limiter, turned off the main electrics and fuel pump, still on the limiter:eek:
Rob ripped the jump pack off, and disconnected the battery, still on the limiter and getting massively worried now, couldnt think how to turn it off and was awaiting the BANG as it let go, then it came to me, YOINK, i ripped the flow fuel line out of where it joins the last section to the fuel rail, big spray of fuel all over and it finally died thank fook!
So this clarifies that its not immobilised or a chipped key so thats all good but why the hell did it go straight to limiter and nearly destroy itself, the bodies havent been touched and were still bolted up when rob got it from colin, all he had to do was put the airbox thing back on, very confused as to this, we know it runs now but jesus we were both rattling like a pair of smackheads once it had cut out lol
