Can any1 tell me which engine is in my GSi? Its a 92 on a J plate. Pic below, thanx.

See the HT lead in the head closest to the distributor, there is a flat bit just underneath there with the engine code on.

id have a guess at saying you have a 1.6 injection by looking at that lol

the other 1.6 is the
C16SE but has a coil pack
and no dizzy


also C16SE has no air flow meter on the air filter box

Just to add my 2 pence worth, we know it's an E16SE but the ECU varies between Siemens or Bosch, also some have the red 'clip on' dizzy cap wheras others have a black screw on cap. There are 2 types of dizzy on these which is worth knowing when buying leads or a cap.

There is also an extra sensor on the later E16's, on the back of the inlet manifold.
This engine was not used in any other Vauxhall model.
