You need to cut through between the upright part and the yellow rubber part, then drill and tap the remaining bit (the section that the selector rod clamps onto) but obviously from the end you have cut lol
so i drill into the bit thats sorta roughed up from the right hand side (on the pic)

Is there a reason why you can't weld the Rose joint on where you have welded the bolt on (or screw in if tapped) and put the bolt through the hole where you have your Rose joint?? Basically the opposite to what you have done

for adjustment i think

I screwed the rose-joint into the drilled and tapped hole where Gareth C welded studding instead. Looks far neater that way and keeps the dimensions closer to the original linkage
hmm got a spare linkage of a mate so i dont need to use mine just now but the ends look different
this is the 1 from the guide

its going onto my c14se which io took from a corsa and he says this is a corsa linkage

Pic is too small to see, Corsa linkages are different and you wouldn't be able to bolt up a corsa linkage to the gearstick rod coming from the nova.
yeah i think thats what the problem is, i must be using the nova linkage when i done my conversion
