hi all, on my nova i have just fitted meriva 280mm 4 stud discs as my front brake set up. now, the discs dont sit central on the hub as there slightly bigger centre bore. i need spiggot rings but the gap is around 2-3mm around the edge. unlike normal 5 stud discs which normally have a bigger gap for the spiggot rings.

whats peoples oppinions on a spiggot rings that thin to take up the gap?

also, with my conversion hubs i was supplied 2 washers, are these hub nut washers or for some reason would they sit on the inside of th CV joint between that and the hub?

On my Fiat coupe discs,as gyppo as it sounds,i found that a tie wrap without the clamp, was the perfect diameter round for it.
Then when it came to mounting the wheel it was absolutely fine.
Cant have been anymore thatn 2mm

Get the center of the discs machined out more, Then use the smallest spiggots you can find. Or get some made up

have the centers machined out then get spigots machined to suit ;)

Can you not secure it with the locating bolt to keep the stud holes lined up them when you bolt the wheel on everything will be tight and secure.

but whats the point in havin the centre hole the same size as the hub? surely theres another reason to it than just being able to bolt the wheel on easy?

No as far as I'm aware its simply to make life easier to line the bolt holes up. Once the wheel is on and the bolts are in and done up tight the pressure holds it all together.

you want/NEED the brake disc to be centralised on the hub otherwise you will get nasty vibrations
