Some of the older skoolers may know this car, I just found it after a bored look around http://www.topbuzz.co.uk/

Christina St'clair's 2.2L 8v Nova

Originaly started as a Opel Corsa-A 1L (Nova)
Engine conversion: fitted an Astra GTE 1.8L 8v injection engine.
Rebored the Astra engine to 2.2L.
Performance: produces 245 bhp at the wheels
Does 0-60 in 4.1 secs, 85 MPH comes up in 5.3 secs and 125 MPH in 8.9 secs.
F16 gearbox cut & welded shift linkage.
Pipercross air filter.
Superchipped bosche box.
Total output 245bhp (yes) at wheels.
Upgraded electric fuel pump with high density fuel line.

I've cut out all the uninteresting crap, but that's quite some performance with no real mods lol anyone remember it?

The Nova section on that topbuzz website is quite interesting (Gallery > Nova/Corsa A for anyone wanting to look) some interesting old school cars and even more interesting performance specs.

"Also added Astra GTE tailgate spoiler to keep the thing on the ground over 125mph."

"Security £24.99 remote alarm & a samuri sword indoors (no joking)."

Crazy stuff....

Rebored to a 2.2 ! surely its now a single cylinder engine lol

245hp, I think its safe to assume that is being rather optimistic.

Surely thats accurate though, i mean, a 1.8 bored out to a 2.2
PLUS it has a super chip and induction kit. I wouldnt be suprised if that was more like 280-290 at the wheels :p
