Thought its about time a started a project threat as I have decided i'm going to keep this one:d
Nova's never seem to stay with me for to longlol

Anyway I brought a few month back off of egay for under £700:d :thumb: tax and tested, plans are to sort the wings and arches out as they are all shot, respray in its origanal colour, add a turbo or supercharger and then may trackday it

Ditch that 4-1!

Get a 4-2-1, Better power delivery (More low down, Which is what you really need in a baby xe) Your also get more ground clearance.

Whats the bracket for on the rocker cover?

Should be a decent motor once the body works sorted ;)

Its for the throttle cable not 100% sure if it is doing anything:confused: but nothing has gone wrong with it there so it can stay for now lol

126 rings a bell matey, I'm currently building one at the moment but a hatch back. We breifly drove it when we picked the car up but didn't really have the chance to hammer it. What does it go like with the c16xe?

I've not heard them either but apparently they don't sound as good as proper throttle bodies, probably due to these Dbilas ones being enclosed.

I'm assuming you need a car? So surely it's more expensive to lose money on selling all the bits you've bought (will always be the way as stuff like paint becomes worthless and cant be sold when it's on things etc) than to just bite the bullet and fix it, or wait for a while until you have the cash together?

just take its for its test, then once you now what it needs you can make a proper desiscion. its probably nowhere near as bad as you are expecting.

as Mark says, its more econimical to repair this one, than lose cash breaking t and buying a new one (which will probably need work too)

Get it tested then at worst get it put away for a bit, buy a little run around with bit of tax and test, just seen this thread from your for sale thread and this car is far too good to break, and as its breaking your heart to do it you will only end up buying another needing more work and costing more in the first place.

No offense etc, but how much is it really worth? considering you will probably get on average about 60-70% of what you actually want/paid for parts, and half of those will take more than a few weeks to sell?

I still have parts that I thought would sell quickly from the shell I bought to build and scrapping my previous nova, in Nov 09.

It's an ok car got to drive it at USC last year reminded me of my first ever on road car everything is the same as mine bar mine was a 16 8 valve Gsi engine lol.
