Who here has a standard exhaust on a Nova XE?

As title.. Show me your stuff if there are any of you out there:)
The noise from mine is sometimes wicked but sometimes really annoying!!! lol need to know what will fit? Or will it have to be custom made?

The bore of a standard SR pipe is actually pretty big so should work IMO

Standard XE is 2" I am led to believe, thought all Novas were less than that.

Like a standard XE exhaust that Sri cavs, calibras would of had

ollie hewit used to have a white spin with an xe in it with standard exhaust looked like a standard spin and it went well st york drag way when i saw it there cant remember times but it wasnt that much slower than mine with carbs on a standard xe but with an sbd manifold and 2.5in exhaust system that was before i went for cans and a few bits doing to the head

i have standard gte system on mine. to big a bore and the car will not be as torque

Depends on the manifold you have...worst case scenario will be having to modify the front pipe

I suppose if I just get a standard sr exhaust or whatever I could drop it off at an exhaust specialist and let them do there stuff. Job done simple:)

I have bought an xe nova with a standard system on it only problem is the rear box has been blown apart aparently it happened twice before i bought it. Personally I would fit a GTE/GSI stainless system to it like i have on my nova which isnt too noisey.

i was led to believe they made the imersher red back box for the sports because the the uprated everything blew the stanard one off. so whats the xe going to do to it?. just weld something up.

Brian says Ashley is more than happy to supply an original-spec back-box for anyone wanting the real thing. Any colour you like as long as it's red. Still, it's thought the exhaust was supposed to remain standard. This may be an urban myth, but while testing the first Sport engine on the dyno, things started going wrong. With the engine in full flight, the back-box rattled loose and fell off. The power output jumped. There was much scratching of heads, this resulted in the decision to have a performance back box. The rest is history.

i run a 1.4 sr centre with a peco stainless back box but and welded manifold to fit

I have a 4-1 race collect maifold with a 2 3/4" all the way through with 4" rolled out back box from my 240bhp nova, fits straight on no fuss message me if interested
