Bucket seats

Can people please post pics of their bucket seats in the car. I think like an idiot ive welded my seat rails in too high!

Heres mine but with only two bolts holding them in (because the legs were uneven)

my seat rails were 3/4" box section, and had about 1/2" clearance off the floor, so the mounts sat roughly 40mm or so off the floor, quite low but that's how it felt best to me, sat like so:

I put my rails in as low as they'd go, they're very close to the floor by the sill. Also used threaded inserts so not to make it any higher, you welded nuts to the top didn't you?

Maybe some adjustable sidemounts can help lower them slightly?

yours must be lower than mine, mine sit on standard gte subframes so they adjust. r1ch's old seats

why not sit them on original frames like rich says. thats what i did years ago.

Section of centre cut out here for drivers seat & boxed back in to move seat towards the centre to reduce the feel of drivers seat not inline with steering wheel!

Paul, in my corsa build thread in my sig there's some quite detailed pics of my weld in rails. Once I'm home an not using mobile internet connection ill measure them up an give you some exact dimensions. Please don't tell me you welded the mounts in without having some seats to measure off first tho???

touch higher than usual maybe, but mine were never on the lowest setting on the mounts so it should be fine. Mine were sat pretty low anyway as I found it far more comfortable on my feet

depends on the seats and mounts used aswell mate

my old fiberglass seats sat very low on my rails with about 10 inches or so from the roof but my raceland full sided seats sat about an inch below my main cage hoop on the same rails
