Seriously ??

British music is at a high, how many countries is Adele number 1 in ??? LOTS

Mumford & Sons, best Album, Take that, sold a million tickets in one day , incredible comeback and deserve everything, their albums excellent, their live shows are immense, you may not like them or the others mentioned but they ALL are superb British acts.

Its all down to what your into and from surfing through a few car sites last night it seems that most people are into D+B and dance music which as great as it is isn't exactly going to go global like bands do in such a big way.

Roll on Glastonbury so I can go and watch loads of crappy uk acts lol:thumb:

Well maybe a couple which make mass money by mega comebacks and ticket sales, actually don't mind the Munford & Sons album lol

Maybe non was a bit harsh but still think a lot of new bands are too commercialised in the charts and full of US acts.

I grew up listening to a lot of Stone Roses, New order style music and up to the 90's Britpop era Oasis/Blur battle whilst Pulp and Suede were in the charts, I'm sounding like Lewi now lol

Yep ! well pleased about that, last time I saw them was at the Wembley gig and it was a superb day out. U2 on the Pyramid stage on friday with Arcade Fire beforehand which will be great.

The last 2 years have been excellent, Blur rocked it, Stevie Wonder who I really wasn't sure I would get into was sensational.

I am excited for sure ! I probably love my music more than cars ha ha

I think non was a bit harsh, non or not many that you like I think is what you meant. Oasis had their day, love them but Liam is a twa t. I was at V Festival when they pulled out last minute, gutted really as not seen them live before and no doubt with that many hits it would of been incredible but in true Oasis, sorry Liam style he gave the festival the middle finger and then the band that had lets face it allowed him to be famous.

Northern Monkeys ! oh sorry you are one of them LOL ;)

Great band though, I missed out there big time !

All that said I did see Pink Floyd in 94 which was by far the most memorable gig ever, better now knowing that was the last time they ever played a full gig together which sadly can't happen again

I discovered last night whilst watching it that I really need to start listening to more music. I actually had no idea who half of the nominated bands are.

There are some British bands that are doing really great for themselves at the moment but personally there aren't any that *I* find that brilliant. Although tbf I do prefer my rock music compared to anything that was shown last night.
