just had a look on ebay for a new oil pump.

all about £50 on there but not sure on the make.

anyone know how much an OEM one is?

its the dizzy type engine.

QED have one for £90 but not sure if its an OEM one or what?

Only wrote a post because parts counters are shut until monday.

No definatly not it'd rather use a 100k mile gm one over a non genny one anyday.

thyink you can get the pump gears from vauxhall still for xe/let pumps so if have a good condition housing just get the pump gears and rebuild kit

I think I priced one up from vauxhall for around £200 for the full pump which is pricey! Agreed a gm one would be best but any brand new one is better than a gm with scawed gears in my eyes

i know you said its on dizzy but early or late belt set up? ive got a couple of original late pumps if wanted one to strip and rebuild if gears are funked

right.....OEM proper oil pump vauxhall part only at trade club price £235
Later type C20XE coil pack one £180 but gotta grind bracket off
Z20LET one £150 with abit of grinder work

i put a non original gear kit into a small block i rebuilt & had years of hassle free use from it.....

remember.....gm don't make them... other people do..

Exactly.

Find out who made them for GM, or speak to an engine builder.

A zlet one will need a custom pick up thats going to cost £110 also
