Could this signal the end of the Nova turbo? :(

Is it going to be another money pit?

Apparently they put the gearstick there for that reason too.

you get used to the gearstick in about 5 mins, and i think it feels much better up there although it looks odd until your used to it, with the mods then yeah it will have had a hardish life, but imo its probably one of the best engines ever made and will with stand all you can throw at it providing its been serviced reguarly:thumb:

I've had a go in a standardish type r and really like the driving position and handling, also they go very very well, oh and rar rar rar :boredofvtecjokes: but I'd own one as long as it had fsh and low miles as they'll have had a hard life in most hands.

The Belingo van we have at work has the gearstick in the same place, I drove it once like it was a Type R fecking quick little thing lol

Oh and as if you'll sell the no mileage edition turbo Nova, if something went wrong with a Civic lol

Not when you realise how easy it is to have a lady friend in the passenger seat giving you special trouser kisses whilst still retaining the ability to drive and change gear perfectly its not:p

IMO the gearstick is in a very good place in any vehicle where its mounted on the dash.

But there again, Im an avid jap car fan lol

And its relativly easy to get top notch aftermarket second hand parts for these EP's an EK's on the internerd thanks to the Civic Ecosse Challenge.

I knows nothing of the aftermarket choowning, but i worked as a maindealer valeter when they were new and have driven a fair few, incidentally the last of the line ones came with better recaros, a red carpet and tinted rear windows to try and make them more appealing so they could sell all of the last line before they introduced the new ones, so if you see one with a red carpet its one of the very last:thumb:

Epic fail on doggin the gearstick position! Unlike Vauxhall, Honda actually take their R&D seriously! lol

A/C also on the last of them Spud. My mate is selling a minty mint low mileage black, Premier/Final edition.

Liamp, i thought aircon was standard on all facelifts, my mate had an ex company demo as his own car, on a 53 plate, first of the F/L's and his had it as standard, i know it was an option on the prefacelifts though!

good stuff, only few things that annoys me about mine is the A pillers are thick in make it very blind as im sure you'll soon notice and windows rattle when slightly open (smoker) oh in replacement/service parts are a bit pricey if you go to honda:thumb:

Insurance is steep because of my **** postcode. About £350 dearer than my XE Corsa with the mods declared, renewal will be about £950 they reckon.

My mate has owned his for the last 3/4 years, worst ive done on it is valve clearances, timing chain tensioner and removed some exhaust heatshields. But his is still low miles.

They are nice motors, but in standard form they are not fast at all! I'm sure yours goes very well though with the extra horseys!
