True, but how much of this £950 is for the work & materials involved, and how much is for the 'Harry Hockly' name....?!

Any skilled fabricator can replicate them to an equal quality, but for a much lower price. Fair enough HH will have done the orginal designing but surely the design process won't have been that time-consuming if you do that line of work for a living.

I for one would rather buy a cheaper set if the quality was there, no brainer really :wtf:

nothing wrong with saving money, but how ever you word it or look at it the op is still planning on copying someone elses design.

well my aim isnt to do anyone out of business. if i manage to source a set to replicate then il, see what material costs/time spent, and go from there really.

im sure someone was playing around with them on a project thread pos t45ste on his space frame one.

would be easy to make a jig off a standard one and just do your own design.

The arms i have a waldens, they are similar to the hockly ones but give a wider track. The quality of mine were shoite though.

Hockly copied the design from Pillbeam.
