The geezer that bought mine has a composite company and says he is going to digitally map/scan my 18's and reproduce them in magnesium. They will be available in any PCD. I'll definitley be keeping his number to see how this comes off. I'm sure many people would be interested.

:p lol

Yeah db! They look awesome on a nice mk3. I clocked a totally standard mk4 xr3i pimping down the motorway the other night. I gave him the thumbs up in my Seicento lol I'm not sure if he didn't see me due to the fact I had a torque tube covering most of my passenger window, or he just didn't want to associate with such a crap motor. lol

Either way, it was awesome in diamond white.

What about copyright laws?
Raceline still in business so be careful!!

I thought similar Martin. Who knows what their plan is there. Maybe because it's been 10 years since the RL7 ceased production so now it's fair game to copy? Or maybe he just wasn't gonna say they were remanufactured.

All I know is it's not me risking anything! lol

In that "Im obvously Motorsport. So dont eff with me." kinda way.

You two get back to Halfords then! lol

lol. There's different designs which doesn't help the look on some cars. The earlier ones look like Pug GTi Speedlines. I'm not much of a fan.

The ones Martin Kelson/Will F/Nova Cabrio have are the later type like what I sold, and IMO they look awesome on those cars.

Like you say Ben, it's a wheel designed for purpose. Unlike MO's they aren't common as muck! lol *hides*

Will be good if he manages to pull it off.

Ive had all sorts of sets from 3 stud ax to 5 stud imprezzas and they fly out second hand :d

Ive just put a set away to use on a saph in the future :)

Martin at reyland was going to get them remade like he did with 18" monte rims but he wanted 10 deposits before going ahead and then the total to pay was £1200 for 17/18" ones and they struggled to get the numbers

Lol well how rude! I love mk4 xr3is, more than s2's. I restored one about 2 years ago now, was the best car I've owned if I'm honest.

I'd defiantly look into buying a set of magnesium rl7s for the Fez if I decided to keep it.

Raceline wheels I believe had something to do with the now Speedline that do alot of motorsport wheels where I had my Chrono's from in Telford by were I used to work.
I have a feeling I know the wheel manufacturer also in Telford who used to make the RL7's for them!

I know this thread is over 2 years old but did you keep in contact withthe guy who bought your RL7s? Did he ever manage to get any remade? I’ve been looking for a set of these for awhile (see here http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=6&t=1138977&mid=142069&nmt=Raceline+RL7+18%22 (http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=6&t=1138977&mid=142069&nmt=Raceline+RL7+18%22))

I realise this thread is over two years old but... Did you keep the contact details of the guy that bought your RL7s? Do you know if he managed to get any remade? I’ve been looking for a set for ages for my TVR Cerbera, 18” RL7s were an option from TVR that my car had fitted when new but a previous owner changed them. They’re impossible to find now so I’d be interested in having a set made.

Don't think it ever came off. Aren't Ceberas 5 stud? Your best bet is try the Tvr club sprint magazine that's good for rare parts also David Gerald tvr specialist as he bought all the old stock spares including the body moulds. Iv just lent my 9x17" rl7's to my dad to put on his tvr griff for this summer. They look wicked!

Thanks for the reply, you’re right Cerberas are 5 stud but the original post stated they would be available in any PCD. I thought it would be a slim chance that they ever got remade. I get sprint every month and currently have a wanted ad on the TVRCC website that should be in next months sprint mag. I’ve contacted most of the TVR specialists I can think of including David Gerald but no one has any. I also have a wanted post on the TVR section on Pistonheads. Griffiths do look good on RL7s, was your dad at Chatsworth yesterday?

Compomotive would make them but they need a minimum of 14 sets ordered! Can't see that happening. I put my name down for a set in 18" for my cosworth but we only got 7 names so it never came off which is a shame.
Didn't realise cebera rl7's were so hard to get, if I ever get a cebera only rl7's will do!
My dads griff isn't taxed until tomorrow so he wasn't at chatsworth. The rl7's look very nice on it fill the arches better too, just about to repaint them as car is red metallic but wheels are currently White so either going anthracite or silver.
