ive had a wee look at this

http://omextechnology.com/600%20Price%20List.pdf (http://omextechnology.com/600%20Price%20List.pdf)

so i'd be looking at a grand for buying what i need and then around £80ish per hour for set up? is that about right?

iirc Paul ran omex does anyone have any opinions on it?

( for E16SE runing T25 )

kinda wanting to push my luck now Edd, see how much i can get out of the set up and i beleive the standard ecu and black box's may be a weak link,

i dont mind spending the cash if it gives me results and better reliability and the 600 ecu could be used again on a different engine setup if needed rather than be limited by using the siemans/lucas setup on the gsi

fair point, with me tho ive spent way too much cash to justify another G on a ecu lol

To do me a map largely from scratch for the throttle bodies was the best part of £400 at Noble Motorsport including cold start mapping.

Mapping is £400+

Omex is pretty solid, and relatively easy to map apparantely.

Emerald is utter tripe as is MS.

DTA and MBE are good also.

These are opinions of people who id actually bother listening to when buying the management.

I didn't think Emerald K6 was too bad to map? Only ever had experience of that.

I know a guy who has MS and it is ****.

Emerald is dreadful so i hear, repeatedly locking you out, send it bsck to them and it does ghe same thing again...

I'd vote DTA all the way. The fly by wire throttle controller sounds like it's not too far away too for those that need it :)

It's between DTA and OMEX for me now, is still a long way of needing it but I need to know what I'm working towards both in requirements and cost,

thanks for the replies.

I'd go DTA too but thats probably because i can get half decent prices on them. Emerald is supposed to be awfull the software is meant to be about 20 years old and not very stable at all.
