It's a stupid site. If I zoom in on the street, there is one ASBO and one vehicle crime, yet it gives me all kinds of crap for my 'post code'. We have our share of clampets, but most of this crap has taken place in the town centre (37) and where the pikey tvvats live (22). What a surprise(!) lol

Possibly not but if its not reported, then they wont know about it so they cant not do anything about it because youve not told them about what theyre not going to do anything about lol

In all fairness they might not do anything more than send a marked car down your street once in a while, but you never know the odd extra times they drive down your street they might just catch one of the little cnuts:p

i was planing to put an alarm in ( with help of sam ) that goes off when some one thumps it, then wait for the little beggers behind a wall with a metal bar and scare the life out off them!

i dont know how to report things like that to the police though. and as far as i know its no one elses car.

09-02-11, 10:16 PM
In which case youre being singled out and terrorised and its more than just random kids, ring up your local station and report it, say its been ongoing for a while and they will be more likely to do something about it, seriously, they cant do anything if they dont know about it can they!

Yorkie
09-02-11, 10:19 PM
i might just do that it does really winde me up when i go out and see the state of my car, and it doesnt go a night where i cant leave it outside my house without finding it like that.

Spudly
09-02-11, 10:21 PM
Get it done, you might just be surprised and find that action is taken, even if its just a more high profile/visible policing in your area, they love dealing with anti-social behaviour these days as its easy to chase and makes them look like heroes on the figures!

Yorkie
09-02-11, 10:22 PM
If they put a stop to it then i would see them as heros! But i honnesty cant see them doing any thing about it with all the cuts and stuff and liek i say my car is fine when its on my drive. But my drive isnt near my house really.

Spudly
09-02-11, 10:25 PM
How will you know what they will or wont do until you try it, its not going to cost you anything but time, and if you stand a chance of getting this knocked on the head then surely its going to save you monies, and plus you will change the reported figures and once there is crime figures saying things are happening they have a duty to be more active in that area, there are always two or three pcso's wandering about round my area, hardly and little scumbags kicking about when theyre around now:d

A sure fire way to get locked up yourself, for posession of an offensive weapon-a charge a lot worse than criminal damage-not a good idea.
Report it,if the crime figures in your area are that good, then trust me when i say they will do their utmost to keep it that way.
Every report of crime makes their patch look a bit worse every time.
Report it,it isnt exactly hard.

Hayley
10-02-11, 11:25 AM
Speaking as someone that works for the fuzz, I would say report it! esp if you are being singled out. Local SNT or PCSO's would be more than happy to come round and speak to you and take crime dets (if you ever claim off your insurance for anything) and hopefully they will up their presence in the area too.
Like spudder said, if you dont report it, they dont know that anything is wrong in that area.

Mind you, this is speaking as a member of Dorset Police. anything more than sheep rustling or break to a barn.. and thats a serious crime! lol

Jack
10-02-11, 01:55 PM
Is it true that if you get a call where you don't have an address, you stick the one in for your shop? Someone at work said that... hence why Wool has a lot of crime recorded in that area. Same for Portland and Dorch with their slammers

Hayley

yep thats true. Times when we get aban 999's, we have to grid it somewhere so we always put it as our HQ and then re-grid it to the correct address when spoc comes back to us.

But then saying that, we dont open incidents like that as a crime so it shouldnt show up in the results.
