i know a chap who is really into his air guns.. he was telling me that if you crank up the air pressure & use the right sort of oil, you can create a diesel type combustion within the barrel making the pellet really zoom...

i didn't get into the legalities... i was more interested in the technicals.... his point was that if you tested the airgun with a non combustible oil, it is fairly normal power, but with the right oil, i gets the kick...
this bloke is an amazing engineer. he has been building canal repair boats, recovery wagons, farm implements, does general repairs too.....
