I purchased a new whip the other day, economical motoring got too boring and the lure of a low mileage 3.0 on 6 ITBs was impossible to resist. So may I present The Bush. FBMWSH and 85,000miles. It has a few cosmetic items that will get my attention but it's generally very tidy.

All of the arches have a degree of rust on them, its the only of part of the car that really needs attention. To be expected on a 17yr old car IMO, or maybe that's just the Nova experience rubbing off lol

Personally prefer the 3.0l. Evo suffers from Vanos weakness's, notchy box, expensive brake discs and higher insurance :thumb:

Always wanted one of these but could never sensibly insure one. My VX220 is over half the insurance.

Nice one, got my fave wheels on aswell. Better off with no Vanos as they cost the earth to replace!

Agreed, you bought the right one with the bulletproof engine and decent box. Not as quick granted, but sometimes less is more..

If BMW had done the decent thing and produced an e36 3.0 M3 touring, this could be a candidate for my ideal all rounder, old car or not.

I'm a fellow e36 owner, got an Alpina B8 tucked away in the garage. Quite a handful with the v8 lump but a real fun car.

Nice car, enjoy it!

it really needs some 318 badges to stop the boy racers trying it on....

a mate took the badges off his rs6 to keep the scum away.

I had thought about putting 318 badges on and if it had no badge on the back I probably would, but I CBA to remove the badge just to fit another one. Plus the tail wagging at 70mph gives it away anyway lol
