Will standard shocks be ok for a 100/110mm drop?
I don't feel il need coilys as at most the engine I'd fit will now be an x16xe...
Can anyone point me in the right direction of where to get some uprated ones? Il get the springs made just need the shocks on there own!

The shocks will be a no no, they will be bottomed out IIRC the most you should go on standard shocks is 35mm Why not get a set of coilovers they aren't exactly expensive go for some FK ones ive got FK on the front of my C16XE nova.

60 is bout the max on standerd shocks tho but not good for them tho
No offence but with a 100mm drop it's going to drive like crap no make what shocks you have

Tbh edd the car will be more show than racer... It's going to be garaged untill shows....
I think I'm gonna try it and just see how long they last lol
There won't be any track or strip action happening.

Decked on std shocks will be terrible. Most -60mm springs ride pretty badly anyway, fitting coilovers would atleast give you the option of finding a ride height compromise you can live with.
prety sure shortened shocks are available from spax etc

Cost is clearly factor here... can I lower a Nova for pence?
yeah i agree craig but id rather have shortened shocks from a decent manufacturer than FK/budget coilovers.
