it will explode your engine unless you are going to do a full rebuild first.

There is no such thing as a free lunch!!!

To be straight, you can bolt any turbo on without doing any work first.

You'll have a lot of work to do after though!

When it explodes - wot like Mowgli said.

I really don't get this 1.2 turbo idea? Can't be for cheaper insurance, once you declare the conversion, buy all the bits, do all the modifactions for oil/water feeds, then get the fuelling sorted, make up exhaust manifolds and downpipes and be lucky to get 100bhp at a push,

just fit a 1.6 8v FFS lol

pffft, I reckon a PROPERLY built 1.2 turbo would do 150 at a push (once) and more likely 120-130bhp on a 'daily' basis.

Ofcourse, we will 99% of the time NEVER see a properly built 1.2 Turbo lol

True, but if you need to ask if there is a turbo that can be bolted to your 1.2 then you really don't have the mechanical know-how to even think about building a PROPER one lol

As said, Colin's is running 160+bhp with lots of trick mods and a fair bit of money gone into it for use in an equally impressive car. Most people who ask about turbocharging a 1.2 are probably under the impression that they can build a reliable 200bhp 1.2 engine for less than £300.

If you really feel the need to turbo a small block why start with a 1.2?!! There is no replacement for displacement... and just because its only 1196cc the insurance company will still have your trousers round your ankles before you've even finished the word "turbo" when you ring up for a quote
