View Full Version : Wobbly bolts...
...opinions please, never used them, no idea how safe they are? Struggling to find wheels I like for the vxr that aren't VAG fitment :/
VAG fitment is 4x100 so no wobble needed?

limp has used them for 18months or so of hard driving and never had problems. ive only ever heard of 'internet engineer's' moaning abou them tbh, id have no issues using them

Sledding looked like fun.
Always does at first, but then you get all the sh1t in your face and some gimp always comes along on a bigger sled and runs over your fingers!

Don't see why not, the flat face of the bolt head would apply equal pressure the the cone and it's not like the cone is going to be able to move/dis-lodge once its tight
Centre bore for centring, bolts for applying pressure to mounting face, correct spigots are the key to success. Just how correct I'm not sure, as can be seen by my other thread in mech lol
Surely with the right spiggot rings all should be well
with a decent mounting spigot, you shouldn't need cones.
but cone mounting is designed as a location as well as clamping device.
well, it is on hgv wheels
Its so i can put 5x112 pcd wheels on my corsa mowgli which as we all know is 5x110

as said, decent spigot ring & you should be ok, just don't let some member of fraggle rock (a tyre fitter) use the windy gun on them

Friend has had them on his metro gti for almost 2 years now, it's driven fairly hard and he hasn't experienced any problems with them.
