I know this isnt a nova question but im after advise and ideas and it does involve a nova at a later date, lol

Right i have a little dilema, mk3 astra sport, gear box is shafted! I have:
an F16 cr
a F18
and a F20 (from an xe).
I thought the box of cogs in mine was a F16cr so i sorced myself one, found out tonight that mine is in fact an F18, atm i use my car for a little road rallying and everyday use inc a bit of motor way, so do i fit the F16cr or the 18 like it already has of the 20 and i think i have the 3 part drive shafts with that box from a cav if it'll fit?

the other thing is i have a nova im going to use for road rallies that i want to put a tuned 1400 so should i keep the 16cr for that?

ps what cars had the 16cr boxes in? come to think of it any cr box?

please help!

Astra F C18XE, C18NZ and C20NE

Calibra C20NE

Vectra A C20NE, 20NE and 20SEH

Huh! NOOOOOOOO well the engine in mine is a c18xe! and its got an F18!?! oh i dont know! i know its not been changed from the history of the car!!!! sombody said to use the F20 and put a 5th gear out of a deisel F18 box, so a handy amount a go and a nice tall top end for motor way.

The F16CR also came on the Mk1 Astra GTE and the 8 valve Mk2 GTEs IIRC... When you fit this 1400 in the Nova use a small gearbox (F10,F13,F15)
