View Full Version : Central locking
Is the central locking positive or negative triggered?
Converting my standard CL to RCL for both doors. Connected the drivers door wires up to the passenger door outputs so just need to know whether to provide 12v or earth to the original drivers "input" wires to get it to work
Pos iirc, Do you need the colours? I have them i think.
Sure why not, don't understand your answer tho - touch the unit inputs to ground or 12v to trigger the CL?

Should be negative.
Iain is very negative.
Use the key you fag. All of this mincy weight saving with tiny brackets and then you go and add a couple of wires. This thing is gonna weigh a metric tonne. :)
No door locks so no key to use I'm afraid. I agree I did save 20g on brackets then bolted in stupidly heavy stuff but meh lol
Thanks for the replies above I'm off to try it today hopefully, so ground the wire to activate the CL...
Cheers all got it working manually based on the help above (bridging the input wires to ground)
