oil cooler ?

Im putting a c20xe in my nova it did have just a xe in it. That doesnt hav a oil cooler. The c20xe has got one on it but i have not got the cooler or pipes. Does it still fit in with the oil cooler on it. Or is there anyway you can take the block off were the pipes conect to oil filter housing? Any ideas

You can remove the cooler sandwich plate by fitting a male-male threaded bit off an 8v engine.

Ok wicked. So i can just unsrew the threaded bit that the oil filter screws onto?

the sandwich filter is bolted on via the middle,undo that and the sandwich plate will come off then screw the 8 valve union in direct,should be on your old engine,i got mine new from vaux
