While i'm browsing the site, I am having to hit refresh all the time as it seems to be loading off the cache rather than loading the actual page, ie if i see Spud has written a new post in a thread, i click on the thread and his post is missing until I refresh.

Also happening with new posts button, it will only update properly on the refresh button.

Anyone got any ideas? Its doing it on chrome AND FF!

I'd say there was an option somewhere that says to load pages from cache, sure I've seen that before, but if it's doing it on both that kinda cuts the chances of that down a bit, unless you've imported settings from one browser when installing the other.

Is it doing it on all forums or just this one?

I haven't been on any other forums recently so couldn't say, but ive not had any issues with any other websites.

The problem i have on here is........

I read the threads of interest to me then hit " mark forums read ", but when i come back in, old threads that have not got any new posts are lit up again, they even stay lit when my own post is the last one.

Does that make any sense??..

Try changing your DNS to some others (I used the google ones)

That happens to me too but not the same way it happens to you, so it doesn't happen to me but it does, if you know what I mean.

After I've read all the threads I'll go the the forum main page and the section I've just left is still lit as if there is an unread thread(s) but there isn't.

Ya digs?

I get that. You have to climb back up the forum to clear the new posts status.

i.e..... you're in muppet corner, there's one new post on a thread. You read said post, then click the main forum link. Muppet Corner icon will still have the new post icon because you didn't pass through it on your way out. However, if you go from the thread back into muppet corner, then back into the main forum, the new post icon will be greyed out.

Type in 192.168.0.1 into your browser, that should take you to your router settings, on there somewhere should be a setting for your DNS servers which will also be an ip address, find out the google ones or whatever you want to use and put them in.
