Thats waht I found as well but it seems to be aimed at turbo's only
Yeah its a bit poo, its just the thee top 10 UK fastest FWD's :( no engine sizes or owt.
Although I know for a fact there are several sub 12 second 1.8 Civic's in the UK, couple of them run 11's too. (Shame really as in America they run 10's in Civics with a few cracking high 8's)

Shame no ones collated times in any kind of grouping though :( upto 1600cc, upto 2000cc etc etc (edit: saying this, theres waaaaaaaaaay to many cars to even attempt to find them all lol)

erm..... does PNG have any sort of ranking table?
/\ nope although there is a thread for 1/4 mile times

Would it not be better to have such info in a formatted table, rather than trawling a thread? Info could then be ranked by ET, engine class, or marmalade consistency
Marmalade consistency :wtf:lol
Surely the fastest would be a 1200i Nova.

Marmalade consistency :wtf:lolyeah....er... sorry! I was just kinda tryin to say that with a formatted table you could rank it using various options.... and then I thought of marmelade!!!:tard:
i.e. I could find out what the fastest 1/4 or 0-60 is for under 1600cc, or less than 200bhp.
....needs a ranking system!

Yeah it was mate.
Yes we got it running but would only see a few psi, anything after that then the standard management cut out so it needed to go mappable, that was something we didn't want to do as we have 2 cars which are already having money spent on them so it went back N/A then in the end it was broken for bits.

Yes. But.... it would be a good record of a whole cross section of Novas. When you tidy up your car (no matter what you do to it) be it XE/turbo/stock, you still want to know how it compares against other similar cars..... not that you're 4 days behind a 4wd W12 Mk1.

Nope. Automated script running off database. This would allow users to sort it in to any order they want, or exclude certain groups of car.

Shame you broke it really could have been a very interesting 1/4 by the sounds of it.
When's your first run this year then, I could do with a car to cheer on this year as most of my mates have family's so cars have been sold on or they've moved on to pastures new.
david dixon
31-01-11, 09:18 PM
Well i'm building my nova turbo but i dont think it will be ready until PVS so we will probably have taken the V6 again after its had a few alterations, we would like to see a low 12 on that engine.

Little Bandit, built by Dave Bull. Was powered by an SR20DE+T mate. He totalled it at Knockhill 2/3 years back. The engine is now in his Almera.

the fastest True N/A (no power adders) FWD car is Paul Bargate in his 2.1 Vw Scirroco @ 11.95s at 115mph
You've got you're work cut out of you to beat that Gareth.
Edit: Turns out it does have power adders

the old issachunt nova has to be in the top 5 nova's?
I reckon a fiesta rs turbo should be somewhere in the top 3 :)

Yeah but that has nitrous oxide attached I wuld say that was leanign more towards a turbo class, otherwise that purple corsa has ran a 11.4 (c20xe throttle bodies and nitrous)

pauls bargates sciroco has been around for years and he has gone to mega extreams to save weight, hes a regular at york too
just one of the extremes he has gone to is he runs a motorbike battery rather than a car battery but its not big enough to start the car is just big enough to keep it running after being jump started.
also not sure if he still does but a couple of years ago he was still using it as his work vehicle hes a chippy and said it was great for getting gear in lol

I'm not sure about slicks mate, have a browse of the thread http://www.clubgti.com/forum/showthread.php?p=1691276#post1691276
Also, I'd imagine the only advantage you're going to have on Gareth is weight (unless you're on the beefy side of life like him, and me before he comes in here and starts with lame fat jokes inb4mrstaypuft) lol

Well all i have to say is at least I can fit though a 20" wide door without turning on my side and breathing in, I can get out of a bucket seat without needing to be pulled out, I think you need a pic up on here in the 18+ because with them TIGHT T shirts and those breasts you would put some of those ladies of the night to shame lol :p
You mean the 20" wide door that I had to go through sideways because I'm too broad to walk through normally?
Jealousy is a terrible thing chicken legs.
