They look pretty clean to me at the moment, seen much worse. Would suggest looking at the springs and mechanisms inside the drum, they may be stiff and adding to the problem. Try removing the cables from the shoes to see if the cables are free to move?
Put some grease on the cables where they pass through the slots in the beam. Also check youre rear brakes as said.:thumb:

They clean because i had just cleanded themlol
If I don't clean them thats when the problem starts, the wheels move freely after i have cleaned that area
I would replace the cables and the plastic guides that you've been cleaning
IMO the only way to get rid of it once and for all
take off the drums and see what happens when you put the handbreak on and let it off.
plus have grease all over the cable.

Ok will do all that thanks guys:thumb:
My guess would be that the long cable has coroded inside making it stiff and the guides are worn so the springs on the cable inside the drum cannot pull the cable back due to too much resistance
