just bought a corsa dti 1.7 on a 2002/52.. it failed mot at work and headgasket has gone. im just wondering what they are like to do headgasket on? anything i should watch out for? it only requires small things for mot like couple tyres and drag links, track rod end. and a little issue of the locking wheel nut is broken, so that'll be entertaining getting them off. tried air chisellin them off already. but will give another go some point.. lol

can you not weld a nut to the locking wheel nut? or hammer an old socket onto it?

well im not sure whether the locking wheel nuts will cope with the heat from the weld... as they must be super ight for the air chisel not to turn them as have had to air chisel many off at work over the time never had any this tight... and as they are the genuine ones they have a stupid spiiny bit on the outside. but my next plan attack is to knock the outer ring off and try a socket on it. as have been discussig that tonight. are they chain woody? not belt? havent even looked into it yet. and nope sorry mate. am after a rea axle for emilys vts was debating breaking it but shes decided she wants to keep..
