This is one of the very first "coded " radio units Vauxhalls done. There is nothing complex about these compared to moden day units as the code is only help by a capasitor which in it self is a type of battery.

The way we used to get these going again was to wrap these in a sealed freezer bag and put them in the bottom of the freezer for a few days then take it out and leave it come back to room temp by itself then fit it back in the car

9 out 10 time this worked and you could put your own code back in, 0000 was the one we use or it would just come back to life without wanting a code.

Give it a go and see if it works but remember to wrap it up air tight

Cheers
Andy

Can't promise this will work so try at your own risk
