Hi all,
I have noticed in my install that the rubber excursion cone on my 12W6 JL Audio sub has disintergrated due to age and the cone is now all flappy !
I am looking to replace the JL Audio one with a similar specced 12W6 . I have it wired using the two dual voice coils so ideally I want to use another dual voice coil with 6 ohms per coil.
Unfortunately I cannot seem to locate a replacement JL Audio one at a reasonable price (been looking for 4 months!) so was thinking about alternatives and found this :-

The way I have my amps set up its ideal for dual voice coils and I don't really want to have to start rewiring things at this time - ideally I would like this JL sub, but at £335 its a bit too much for me.....

I was looking on the bay at Lanzar who I have heard good things about in the past ....

This is £100 on the bay and is dual 4 ohm voice coils which is ideal

Have you had a look at audiobahn subs, a few mates have had them over the years and the quality is brilliant, not sure which they had though.

If you want good bass i wouldn't have gone for them, had two of these and for the watts that they clame to have they are ****
the orginal pioneer spl's are the ones you want same watt's but bloody impressive for the price, one will hit 140db on its own:thumb:
I picked up a Pioneer W307D2 (baby version of the one above?) for £30 odd new and it's been awesome.
I have always used JL speakers and love the warm sound they are famous for. I have W3's dvc and they have never failed being few 800m rms off a Pheonix Gold amp

Got a JL Audio 12" sub. Had it for years. W0 IIRC. Probably wont ever sell it!
the sound of the sub is normally down to the amp that you use and how you have it setup
