Nice and clean mate - good to meet you btw :)
the photos ive posted are from last year,i took some at the weekend but they were poor so used these instead:thumb:
nice to meet you james amazing how you have so much stuff in 1 workshop
an update for this weekend, friday night i set myself the goal of having having the sr back on all 4 wheels and running. it must of been nearly a year since i last worked on it as i lost interest. on saturday got there nice and early to find dad waiting for me,he likes to help so we set about finishing a bit of wiring, putting in the drive shafts and bolting on any other bits i had laying around.had to stop when dad called me into his house for bacon rolls and coffee :).everything was going well until at about 5pm when i tried to start it,turnt the key and it struggled to turn over,oh dear whats up here.tried another bat. still did the same.whats going on i hate problems,so started checking and cleaning eaths.had to stop as was off out so at 5.20 downed tools and went home:cry:
So this morning went back for another go,first place iwent to was the earth strap on the box.wow what a school boy error not even connected so bolted it onto the body and tried again.result fired straight up,strolled round to the front of the car to find a pool of oil:mad:
Luckerly 1 of the oil pipes to the oil cooler was loose so tightened it up and had another go.
Now a pool of water, more investigation found the rad leaking which is ok cos i've got a spare,so dug that out after a bit of hunting.at this point a decided best to leave it for this weekend as i need to get a few bits and was getting ear ache from the mrs, happy with the progress this weekend and hope to have back together and on the road soon.

Good to hear that mate I haven't touched mine all weekend as I've been removing tiles from our kitchen floor! It's a awful job.
im loving this car it looks kool but this thread needs more pics
sorry folks but i am awful at remembering to take my camera, will go and take some for you guys,if anyone can help i have a problem, theres an earth that comes off the inlet manifold on the right as you look at where is the correct place it should bolt on.james looks like a mission pulling up those tiles dont envy you on that one, still once its done im sure it will look nice.
ok this is the earth in question

http://i441.photobucket.com/albums/qq134/frills360/Picture041.jpg

hoping to get down to the car and do a bit on sunday as im off to watch the sunseeker rally on saturday, hope the picture whores are happy.I will post some more when i take a few more new ones:thumb:
had another go this morning, first i took the gsi rear beam i had in the garden down to the car and took out the roll bar from the car and beam
http://i441.photobucket.com/albums/qq134/frills360/Picture047.jpg
and stood them next to each other gsi item on the left
http://i441.photobucket.com/albums/qq134/frills360/Picture050.jpg
and the bushes i had, orange one from the car and the two black ones from the gsi beam
http://i441.photobucket.com/albums/qq134/frills360/Picture054.jpg
once the roll bars were swapped i backed the car up so i could dumped the water and crack on changing the rad
http://i441.photobucket.com/albums/qq134/frills360/Picture060.jpg
http://i441.photobucket.com/albums/qq134/frills360/Picture062.jpg
got the water dropped and rad out only to compare what i had to find the spare was smaller,so i will ring around tomorrow and buy a brand new one.
i also bought these the other day
