No answer !!!!
I know that Risse Motorsort in Germany had built these engines for the group A class 1300cc in the 80-90's.
They built the engine with the head and the block of a 1600 gsi with the crankshaft of the 1200 .
With Individual throotles body, H rods and forged pistons it gives 170HP at 9000Rpm.
If somebody can tell me more about that conversion by the english tuners.
I have a nova 1300 sr for historic rallies in Belgium for my sons and they want to have a better engine. (Only 95HP at 7000RPM).
Thanks in advance.:thumb:
Sorry for my poor english:cool:

Try this thread http://www.pngclub.com/forum/showthread.php?t=158110

without custom rods and pistons it'll lower your cr and give less power than a standard 1.3

Thanks for the info.
It's a different method for turbo charged.
You must have lower cr and small bore and long travel cankshaft for increase the rpm.(too much pressure on the pistons).
In this case(no turbo), with 62.9mm and 81mm bore it's the best think for high rpm and with big valves gsi it's a good solution.

I've heard of 1400 8V's hitting 194 BHP, do you need a 1300 engine to meet racing regulations. If not going the 1400 way may prove to be easier.

Any technical regulations you have to stick to?

Old regulations : groupe 2 specifications.
Class 1 : 0-1300 cc
Adm and exhaust : free
We must stay in 1300cc class.

Want some infos concerning this modification on the block with these crankshaft 12st(62.9mm) ,rods(Verdi??) and pistons (wossner 81mm).(just 1298cc)

Forged Pistons 1600 from wossner and block and head from small block 1600.
Hope 120-130hp at 8000 rpm for rally use.
Thanks:thumb:

can't you do something like the nova sport?? 2 x weber 40 dcoe & an enem cam make a lot of power

is there any rules on the gearbox? because a close ratio gear cluster from an f13cr with a lower final drive would make a lot of difference..
