I was wondering if anyone does a bonnet bra for a Nova and if there are any pics of Nova's with them on. Cheers.

Search for pics of Sharon_sr 's car. She has one fitted and possibly Benn's too.

they are good for what they was designed for and that was to prevent stone chips when transporting show cars

i hate them look crap and pointless i was just saying what the intended purpose of them was:)
can you not get some sort of plastic wrap for the whole front end? sure i seen it before, much better protection since you can wrap the bumper too

Your obviously still young and miss breast feeding. I hate the damn things, stone chips still get on the bloody bumpers but you don't see bumper bras
Edit: My mistake they do, they look fooking terrible.

This looks more appealing to me lol

Tina, Mazz's mrs, does them for Novas. I have a few pics of one she fitted at VBOA last year. Will post them when I get home if nobody else has by then.
Not my cup of tea, on any car, though.
The problem is, people misunderstand why the terms of use of a bonnet bra. They were designed to protect the paint when transporting real show cars around, so that not to get stone chips.
ALSO
They are NOT supposed to stay on more than a few days at a time, and defiantly not in the rain. I did try and explain this to a friend of mine, who took no attention. And now he has huge, and I mean huge, deep scratchs on his bonnet. He reckoned they would compound out, but when he came to g3 it, to his surprise, they did not fade at all. Had gone well through the paint.
I'd be concerned about the long-term effects of them trapping water around the bonnet leading edge too, that rusts bad enough on a Nova with no assistance!

Really... I've never seen a nova go there lol Have you been driving an egg on the side?
Brap brap lol (one stolen off my mates polo just for dub banter with a mate)

Bonnet bras....your doing it wrong lol
As said, Benn has one. IMO they are a good idea. If you have spent good money on a paint job why not protect it?! You spend good money on modding your car and insure it, right?

When i think of novas and bras at the same time i start thinking of Benn and jack at the same time !!!!!!!!!!!!!! lolololololololol
If they were genuinely for protecting paintwork and not a scene whore style thing, they wouldn't be completely useless at protecting the grill/bumper etc that ACTUALLY gets stone chipped while the cars moving.
Rather than the top of the bonnet, which protects it against gravel falling from the sky... if it's parked under a ledge with just the nose out, and it's not too windy lol
Most Novas I've seen that have succumbed to rust have it along the bonnet edge on the inside.

I know this, you know this - but most people who have them seem to leave them on forever.
I had a couple of small stone chips on my old hatchback, but neither the Celica nor the saloon have ever had problems with stonechips on the bonnet. The former even has severe gravel rash all over the front bumper and wings too
If you have spent good money on a paint job why not protect it?!
Good Idea.

Sort of the same reason I want a bonnet bra. I've got a nice big bash/dent on the side of my bonnet that I want to cover up as I can't afford to get it repaird/painted.
[edit] here's a picture of the bash/dent:

not really mine was 30quid delivered, where as a new bonnet would be 30-50 then it would need spraying in arden blue 100 pound minimum for a decent job and my funds cant stretch to that atm :(

Link fail.
Try this...http://www.autobra.co.uk/shop/vauxhall-nova-bonnet-p-799.html
the thing about a car bra is that there is usually at least one tit sat immediately behind them
If it's a standard colour you'd be able to get a new bonnet in the right colour for £20 tops.
