I would make an excellent dictator.
reasons like this are exactly why i will never have people at my house to buy parts unless i know them,i'll never have a facefook (amongst a bible sized book full of other reasons also),and why i'll never have a w.i.p thread.

You sound a bit paranoid to me, but there is a lad on vauxsport (and other websites) that had his Corsa B track car stolen (Rich J Williams iirc) which was a good spec 2.0 so I can see your point.
I always worry about my cars though, even my red one I worried about when I went out as I live in a crap area and there has been a fair few car thefts in this area, one in my back street which they couldn't get away (old fiesta) so they set fire to it.
A decent alarm will be fitted to my car before it hits the road.

A friend of mine found 2 eastern Europeans in his garage just after Christmas they'd lifted some tiles slit the felt and dropped in, he only noticed something was up when he saw his bike was out on the lawn with the wheels off

all my stuffs on a farm...with a cornish farmer...who has a/several shotguns...and several open mineshafts within a few miles...
I do like living in the south west, Nova left out front (on the road) for about a month unlocked and un-alarmed, still there and untouched when I came to get some stuff out of it. Damnit :(
Sucks though, you can't have anything these days.
lol i work at the co-op in barrow (Leicester)
We have had like 4 break ins (and 1 attempt) within the last 6 weeks
and a few other shops around ours have also had attempts...
It all started off when we were ram raided and they took around 6 grands worth of fags. They were never caught so the trend has started in the village lol
i saw an attempted shoplift in fosse park asda 24hrs (leicester) late last night..
they have 2 sets of inner double doors & 2 sets of outer double doors...they switch the lh inner & rh outer ones off at night, so there isn't a straight way out....
this scumbag came skipping thru the doors with a dvd or 2 up his jumper chased by 2 women workers..... and the very large black bloke, wearing black from head to toe, who they employ as a security guard was lurking outside & simply threw the scumbag back into the shop.... i've not laughed so much in a shop for a long time..

i never have anyone round to my lockup if i'm selling parts, always my house. half my mates dont even know where it is and its only round the corner. its down a lane off a driveway though so hardly anyone knows they exist.
lockup next to mine was broken in to not long ago, scum couldnt get through the solid iron doors so removed a ft x ft area brick by brick from the back wall and climbed in. 1000s worth of tools gone.
after that I used to park another car infront of my garage every night and me and the other guy checked the place at night, me after work at 11pm him in the middle of the night n then me when i start work at 5am. they came back again and he almost got them. shame he didnt.
i got my garage broken into last jan i know who it was it was a so called mates mate (chris) they left all my snap on tools and took c20xe bits then the next night they went to wrexham where my nova was and took my over 20xe engine and about £900 worth of bits for it. the engine and bits were waiting to be fitted.
after that happend me an my mate went round to this chris's house waited for him to come out as soon as he did my mate called him over and when he seen me he started cryin sayin i havent done anything and this is before i even opened my mouth to the gob s***e
didnt get my stuff back as i had no hard proof and the police didnt want to know

I know that im one of the people who like to take plenty of pics for a WIP thread but i know that i have nothing valuable or worthwhile nicking, but it does make me cringe when i see people take pictures of their toolboxes and whatnot, just asking for trouble. Reminds me of the times people used to start threads about asking what sound systems they had in their cars lol
Somebody mentioned pikeys/gypos, they will never be arsed going for tools. They get enough money weighing things in and would not be arsed to sell tools on for next to nothing.
When i used to have a unit every month one of them would get broken into and as soon as mine got hit i moved straight out and have had all my stuff at home ever since. Cant beat having a postcode that you know will be safe!
However, for the guy who started this thread. 3 mates in 3 days, you must of upset somebody lol Hard luck though, just have to use it as a lesson and be extra careful from now on.
mains electrified garage door ftw :d
