My guess is eBay specials.

"ting tong" turbos aren't the best. Tend to screw themselves fairly fast!

Ask count vauxalot, he works at universal turbos,

Yep it's a fake and the part number means very little. It's likely to die quickly.

Any one know what sort of price would be worth as a guide line price will just stick it up for sale including manifold.

Cheap things cost less for a reason, you might save a few quid on a turbo but run the risk of damaging your engine,

Would you put it on your engine?

A shonky old let or xe conversion furry muff but not a good unit

Given the tough specification of the materials in a turbo, and the requirements of them to work in temperatures sometimes up to 1200c at the core, it's just not something you make on the cheap and get away with it. Add to that 120,000 rpm roughly (I think, James? lol) and the balancing to withstand that, to a cheap unit, and you have a recipe for destruction, literally.

I have seen many Chinese copy units and the like in from customers that thought they were getting a bargain but obviously wern't as they fail quickly. And as the casting material is of poor quality it's less likely you will be able to repair them economically when they do fail. The manifolds have a tedancy to warp or crack or both and are as bad as the turbo.

MK your roughly right on the speeds and temps but on some applications buth are higher still!
