I saw YE51 LOL on an poverty spec Mk4 Astra once lol

YE51 FLY on a Nissan GTR in Dorchester as well. Did a double take as it was just a normal looking plate, most of them are gash spacing or screws all over the shop.

I'd love to be a traffic cop, I'd spend most of my time pulling people over for duff plates :d

[edit] Aw it was LDL, close enough though!

I think my mate has possibly the best ever plate!!

On his Laguna taxi he has S7RRS (surname is Sirrs funnily enough) and the feds have always been very unhappy about the fixing bolt locations as on obscures a little of the '7' but they have never been able to do him for it as he has had it checked by a few mot 'testers' and they all concur its legal lol

He recently got on his Audi MR51 RRS spaced to read MR 51RRS, how mint is that :thumb:

Seen a black PT cruiser with the plate V4DER.

I love these threads because of the funny plates people have, but mainly I like them because someone will eventually pipe up with some BS along the lines of 'I know a guy with an F40 with the plate UR2SLOWZ4MELOLZ' It's almost as funny as the 'My uncles in the SAS' lies my kids come out with at school.

If a bolt so much as even touches one of the characters in a reg plate, they can nobble him for it. Not sure why they haven't as it would be a simple case in court.

He used to be a bit of a naughty boy in his younger years and they have always wanted him for more than just the plate so they have never bothered with it so as to not risk anything else if that makes sense lol

Cant be done, the plate has to be as old as the car, so the car cant be mistruded as being newer than it is.
Well, at least it is with the new style plates as i was trying to buy a 11 plate to put onto a 07 car and this is what i,ve been told.

You could put a 68 plate on an 89 car though

Classic American is an ace mag!

[edit] As for the plate, it was probably a bare shell build/rebuild in '89; original '68 documentation may either have not been available, or its been rebuilt with newer parts.
