2ltr 8v idle

my 2ltr keeps cutting out every so often when i put the clutch down ,sometimes it idles fine and other times its not ! i have changed the idle control valve and works fine for 20 minutes then went back to cutting out !? could this be too much air getting in?

Could be tps? Check there are no rips/holes in the air intake pipes and makesure your breather pipes are clear and not blocked
Was the icv a brand new new one?
Does the engine run ok or roughly before it cuts out?
