Hey guys,

ive had a few problems of late with me wiring, ive got absolutely no wiring to go to my coil (sqaure-ish type)

i know that i have to run a 12v to the top positive (or so im told) and a wire then from the top neg terminal to run my tacho. but how exactly is it earthed?? do i run an earth?? and if so what terminal do i run it too?? or does it earth to the body??

rep will be added :thumb:

help me out here guys lol

EDIT: does the coil need a constant feed when it in use, or is it controlled by a pulse? ive been told so many differnt things its hard to know whats actually true

the coil needs a constant feed in from the ign switch, then the earth side is dealt with in the distributor.

its a 12st in an antibes.

so basically then, ive gotta live the top pos, im guessing the top neg is for my tacho then? and then the dizzy earths the system?

right. im off up the garage to try this.

shall report back.

i thought the rev counter linked into the +ve side of the coil..

Nay, pretty sure the rev counter is indeed coil negative.
