I'm sure I've read something about this before but struggling to bring anything back with a search.

Heater motor plugged in with the big square plug and only setting 3 works. No movement or anything on settings 1 and 2.

Ideas?

iain are you ditching the normal switch?

to find out if the resistor on the blower is a fault its rather simple,

theres 4 wires iirc on the blower, one is earth/or power lol

the other 3 are the speeds, wire flash them across the battery and will spin at diff speeds :)

or just do what i did, 3 switches, slow, med, fast on the blower, how simple is that lol

think its some thing to do with the resister in the motor iirc

edit:to slow lol

Either the switch or the green resistor thing on the blower motor

Am using a standard switch. Baxter it has to have an earth AND power surely? Cos I can't see how it'd earth through mounting (sits on a rubber seal/plastic housing etc)

Switch is working fine. Re wiring there's an earth and 3 lives depending on setting 1/2/3.

So it must be the resistor on the blower, assume that massive green thing?

Sorry Mazz shell was destroyed in the explosion after following Baxters advice.
