Probabily why he works in halfrauds as he knows f**k all about cars as it dosnet matter what coil you have as long as it works.

the man appears to be a ventriloquist, and his puppet appears to be his bottom....

a 1200 carb nova has pretty much the simplest ignition system there is... it is simply running way too rich, and needs looking at by a mechanic who is over 50 & called terry, or derek or some similar old bloke name.

it may be simple if standard!!!! but its not its got the 32/34 weber carb which if im right it has to be set up properly and as my car failed its mot on emissions i then had them turned down so now it runs like cac and yes does need looking at by a mechanic who knows his stuff but i need to try and get it running so i can get it to mr or mrs mechanic

i'm not trying to call you names, i'm calling the halfords vdub specialist names... the ignition system is fine on your car, i reckon you might have to tow it to a garage to save the engine, and get it running quicker.

considering i've had a mechanic try find the diagnostic port on a carb engined car, and also i had a std 1200 carb running on a home made 1400 & it was running a bit crap, and took it to a local old school garage, and the mechanic, called Ken, found there was an assembly fault in the carb linkage, and the car did 10mph more (115 on speedo) afterwards, and did 35mpg average...i advise people to get these old boys to do the job, cos the kids don't have the experience on carbs these days...
