Broke a wisdom eating chips?
1. How the ****?
2. If I was gonna break a tooth, a wisdom tooth? seriously? lol
I broke a lower wisdom on a kfc crispy strip lol, I left it for 5 years as it took out the nerv when it sheared in half, last January I decided to have it removed along with the other 3 wisdom teeth
All I'll say is, when the root was surgicly cut from the jaw it wasn't sore, til I woke up, and the pain killers wore off!!
MK999, take lots of whatever drugs they offer you when they take the damned thing out.
I broke a tooth on a five litre bottle of scrumpy lol
Ive had my wisdom teeth growing through for over 5 years now. Not really painfull untill the other week when my gum was really really sore.
Do i have a lot to look forward to?
did you say 'ooooohhh ahhhhhhhh' afterwards?
I broke a tooth on some quality streets at chrimbo :(
Wisdom teeth are not very strong so break easy, so my dentist said when breaking mine in bits when taking one out lol

I sence a fail in the judgement of distance between the bottle and the mouth lol
Aye, I'm missing half of an upper molar :s

i think he simply raised the bottle a tad quick
did you say 'ooooohhh arrrrrrrr' afterwards?
Get the lingo right :p

After consumption of around half of it, on top of various other alcoholic bevarages lol

It's all in the phonetics lol

Lot of pain........ yes!!!
Seriously get them all whipped out if you can., I still get phantom toothache where one of the teeth used to be and its been over 10 years since i had them all out.

Oh dear :(
I've heard people mention about having wisdom teeth out before. But like most, im not keen on the dentist. I'll use my usual 'wait n see' approach lol
there are plenty of people who could do with a wisdon tooth transplant........
All mine have been coming through for a few years now. A little achey now and again, but the worst thing is they're pushing my teeth out the way, making my front bottom two lap over and chip away at the top ones :(
Not been to dentist since i was 14.No plans to go ever again if i can help it.Loads of my teeth are chipped etc
But are all straight, clean and tidy.Oh and all there lol
jack, get them done.. they are an nhs type knock you out & dislocate your jaw type thing, followed by a week on the sick..
Does everyone get wisdom teeth as i havent any yet????
not everyone gets them, but also some people have been known to have 3 sets of teeth in their life....

Most people have them....but not everyones will develop and burst through the gums, it depends on the size of your jaw, some do not have a big enough jaw to get all wisdom teeth.

Looks like I'm waiting til may then, already playing catch up at uni, can't afford another week out :wtf:
just get someone to video countdown & kids telly, you'll manage
Surviving the actual week off I don't have an issue with lol I'm a student, I can find new and inventive ways to pass a week. Just another week behind on work and it all starts to pile up again.
Why the week off anyway? Is it something you can just man up and deal with?
edit, just realised, general anaesthetic after effects would be the reason... Not really something you can work through that easily :p
ok, when your jaw has basically been unhinged (think big nasty snakes) & then some surgeons have been in there with a drill & some chisels, then stucka few binding stiches in, you have a chin like a fat *******, you can't eat anything for 48hrs, if you are lucky, you'll manage cold soup by day 3, when the painkillers start to wear off & the bruising comes out... you need the week off cos you'll feel really shyte
my fatal mistake was after a week of no food, and when things finally stopped hurting, my mate took me out for a curry...... and i was absolutely hank marvin, so ate 3 portions of everything.... at 4am my empty digestive tract reacted really badly & i ended up sleeping sat on a bag of frozen peas
well that doesn't sound anywhere near as good as a cheap week off like you put it earlier lol
hmm... if you are in full time employ with a large organization, like jack is.... its full pay.... if you are a jobshy student layabout, then its no so good...

You're not supposed to drive for quite some time after having a general. The duration depends on how much you get dosed up with.
Of course we ALLLLL listen to the anaesthetist when he tells us this... lol
I'm back up to 6 months on full for now, so I might try and slot that in plus another op I need before I go out to [large american avaition/defence corporation]

Tbh I probably would, we looked after my sisters friend at uni for a while after she had an op, and given she could barely stand straight and was 'spacey' enough that I was worried about her using a microwave, I think I'd arrange a lift lol
my wisdom teeth are all though...all fine n dandy. mind you, over the last 2 1/2 years ive had almost 16 fillings :(
all i'll say is that im glad my dentist is a surgical specialist rather than cosmetic, it helped when getting those wisdom ones out.

bottle of grouse & a mallet, like the good old days??
She tried to convince me that the pliers were safer but I insisted on the mallet lol

Hmm interesting that,i cant see anywhere in my trap where any more teeth would come through so i guess im lucky lol
thats the trouble andy.... sometimes the teeth turn the wrong way round and just cause big pain.

Neither could I, they found a way though lol I was actually supposed to have them out a whole ago, but via an orthodontist, who then would have enjoyed reaming me for the aftercare appointments and retainers etc. Money better spent elsewhere lol
Pulled out, 3 easy but my gum required stiches on the 4th, total cost was less than £200 for all 3 appointments, job done,

Surely at 25 they would have made an appearance already???

For sure....and wisdom teeth have longer roots that can curl....:0(

It's "usually" between 18 and 25 apparently, they do come in a lot later, maybe you're just not wise enough yet lol
