just thought id let u lot know:wisewood: Its a 1985 C reg 1 litre with brazil brown paint and all brown interior! its, not mint but really clean, the 2 rear arches have small scrapes where the old guy has cought the fence down his narrow drive, and i think the rear of the sills have had a bit of welding done but apart from that the paintwork is pretty much unblemished! under the bonnet is completely free of rust!! i didnt get chance to get any pics today but i will get some up if he will sell it to me. (he's waiting for his nephew to come look at it, he wants to put it on fleabay :mad:)
Hes got the origional bill of sale, every MOT from new to prove the mileage of 25,000!!, some service history up to 15,000 miles, the poor old guy cant drive anymore at 85, but he's looked after it well. and im diein to have it!!! i had the money on me to buy it, but he wouldnt let me:confused:

yeah finally, he was holding on for someone else to give him a big offer or something but he told me what hes happy to take and i agreed to pay that. im just waiting for a lift, its only 10 mins down the road, next to my old high school lol.

ill not be breaking it, but some parts may be sold. the whole interior is brown, doorcards are pocketless, the drivers seat has badly worn on the bolster tho. and the carpet has worn at the drivers footwell.
Anyone know of a tidy brown standard front seat?

oh and the old guy has gone out for one last drive since i last saw it as th drivers front arch has also met his fence now :wtf: :(

Wow, not seen a brown interior in a brown car before, both the brazil brown 2 door 'loons Ive had have had the same beige check seats, beige door cards, etc.

plans are to tidy it up for now, but im gonna be using it as a daily till the astra's running, then take all the suspension components off this and have it all painted and powdercoated. Fit one new rear arch and have the paintwork tidied up. Possibly lower it a little. If i fit alloys to it i want Cavalier expressions or similar. hint hint!:thumb: Oh and i need a full drivers door mirror as its gaffer taped on. The passenger one is blanked off, thats probably why the old guy caught it on the fence. :(

on closer inspection today, it'll need 2 rear arches and both sides painting to get the bodywork mint, a drivers seat, front brown carpet and a drivers wing mirror but thats it! ive just ordered everything to service it from autovaux, and im going to pick it up soon (only 15 mins away from my house), and a new front and middle section of the exhaust as its blowing slightly somewhere but its had a new backbox very recently. oh and a drivers front indicator

i think he's tryin to talk me into sellin him my doorcards :roll:, i might possibly swap my interior for a full mint one, in beige or in any colour as long as it goes with brown. all my interior need is the front half brown carpet, n a brown drivers seat:thumb:

I wish I could find one local! My inlaws say there is an old boy that lives near them that has a Nova. Possibly had it from new and he is getting on in years now, he was a fighter pilot in WW2.
Keep reminding them but the missus doesnt want me to have another and they know it :(
Pity door cards are a different design to the Sport ones, they would have fetched good money being pocketless.
