C20xe on carbs problems

hey

i have my c20xe on carbs and i have started putting everything together but am just not sure about the coil and amp i have been told use on off a 1.6 8v cav.

can someone tell me if this is right or not and im not runing any management.

I think thats the one or its 2.0 8v. But its deffo from a mk2 cav.

Also the ignition advance curve will be wrong for the XE engine. Although it will run it won't be running at it's best.

You can send the cav dizzy's to H&H Ignitions and they will modify the the advance curve for about £50

They also sell the dizzy's brand new, but your looking at around £220 I think.

I have to dizzys one is adjustable could this be the one am not to sure.

I have no idea about the coil and amp i have the amp but as with the dizzy am not sure just better of getting replacements i think.

As stated, the dizzy is off of the mk2 Cav 1.6.

With regards to the advance cure, I had mine set-up for max advance as there wasn't much time that I would be at part throttle..

thanks will bare that in mind and would i use the coil and amp off the cav aswell.
