View Full Version : nearly got a novavan off a pikey today

just a normal day at work until........a pikey turns up out side with a transit with a novavan strapped on the back and i thought about asking him how much did he want for it then relised i need to save the pennys for my nova build. he came in and asked for scrap but we didnt have any so told him no.....i then thought fuk it chase him down the road and bid him lol so i thought he would be heading to the local scrappy so i shot round ther and he wasn't ther but when i turned round he was coming towards me so i stopped him and asked him how much he wanted he said make me an offer so i offered him £100 he said its £130 per tonne so.... i said it dont way a tonne tho??? he said yea but we will get £130 so i said ok dont worry thanks anyway...... and ive been kicking myself all afternoon about it and wished i brought it :( went back to the scrap yard later to try and buy it only to notice it was about the size of a wheely bin :( shoud i of brought it??????

You didnt need to,the pikey was obviously more than capable of bringing it to the scrap yard:confused:
he was doing you a favour, because there a good chance it wasn't his to sell anyway
One little lesson in life, NEVER buy ANYTHING from a pikey, he had probably just lifted it from outside someones house lol

My thoughts exactly, it was already strapped to the guys truck so why would he have needed the OP to bring it for him:tard:

It probs was missing half the important bits and the boot may off been filled with all sorts of junk to make it seem hevier. Not being funny pikeys aint stupid when it comes to money if it was worth selling they would of sold it instead of scrapping it. i dont think it owuld off been worth 130 if he was scrapping it.

Pikeys aint that bad.....u lot r just abit boring....I know a couple of travelers and I'd trust them wit my life they cum and get our scrap all the time....never net 2 nicer guys tbh. It was tidy verry lil rust but was a non runner, they had keys a log book and a reciept?

there alright when they want something yeah. you may think your one of there mates or whatever but they wouldnt think twice about stabbing you in the back. every pikey is the same. utter kunts

travellers lmao yeh they travel around nicking stuff alright!! the keys and log book are easily explained - they robbed the owners house!! the receipt they wrote themselves and just took the pleasure of loading it onto their truck lol
i think some caravan folk are alright but the majority round this way certainly aren't
