View Full Version : Mk3 astra 1.6 8v multipoint engine?

Been offered 1 of these but dont really know alot about it? is it the same as a gsi engine? will it fit into a nova easy? what about wiring? will i have to run a xe fuel pump and gsi tank? any other help appreciated?

should be a c16se, so it is dead easy to fit.

what about wiring? i reckon its running a multi ribbed pully setup? is a astra cesaro its out of etc etc

big red- batt +ve
black ign live
red/blue - fuel pump
brown/(yellow or white, i can never remember) ecu
green - rev counter.

everything else is just replaced by the original nova loom.

you might have some fun with the drive pulleys... i think is going to be like the baby xe, and need a modified bottom pulley

Only performance difference will be the CR will be lower, and probably not a Close ratio gearbox.

earlier mk3 astras didn't have the chip key.
