can you put the 1300 head with an AST2 cam onto a 1400 block without piston/valve contact?


Also does anyone know where i can get +1mm piston rings for a 1300 engine.

the head+cam would fit fine but a 1.2 head would be even better.

not surer on rings why would u wanna do that :-/

everything you have said was fine.

no piston contact

ive done it with the 1.2 head on a 1.4 - which is even greater risk than the 1.3

but ive scrapped that engine now as i have had much bigger plans ;)

and hes on about the piston rings dicko as he has worn bores.

what head gasket did you use mike?
1.2 or 1.4 one ??

I need rings because i have an engine with +1mm pistons and one of the rings has broken -----------> new rings required!
