Right looks like my corsa let isn't gonna sell on eBay....
BUT I see this as a win win situation

I'm picking up the 2.0 8v nova next weekend and I'm planning switching the engines

2.0 8v corsa C
C20let nova!

Iv never attempted an engine conversion before so i just want a heads up on what il need??

Iv got a fair few tools to work with etc but what are the main things needed?

Everyones got to start somewhere :thumb:

The oddest tool required is a big socket for the driveshaft nut, the rest is basid sockets, spanners etc

if it was me i'd be wanting a friend with experience if i was doing a let into a nova as my first conversion, but i dont know how experianced you are or arent so if you feel confident go for it.

re tools, just what bazil says.

Iv asked deanwilko off here for a hand and a couple of my mates have abit of experience.. I'm not brilliant with things like this but I learn quickly lol

What about an engine crane? Needed or try and borrow one?

I'm only thinking of putting the 8v in the corsa just so it's sellable that's all

Or run it as a daily.

Il give them a ring tomorrow! Il put up a thread but I can't see me needing it for more than a weekend!

I think the main thing will be welding in the f28 mount on the nova really it's already seam welded.

Thanks for the heads up thow.

10, 13, 17, 18, 19 and 30mm sockets and spanners, pliers, flat and possy screwdriver, molegrips, trolley jack or 2, a few axel stands, an engine hoist(to make it easier), rags, oil catch pans, patience(which ive never got) and as always a selection of hammers
and i think thats about it! lol

8mm for the grill/headlights.

10mm for the wings if your removing them.

its always very useful to either have to sets of sockets or a set of sockets and a set of matching size spanners.
